USPTO may be expanding IPR privity and real-party-in-interest analysis

Netlist sued Google in 2009 over a memory module Samsung provided. Google sought indemnification from Samsung. In 2022, Samsung filed an IPR that was just granted. Now the Director has ordered the PTAB to examine Samsung's relationship with Google.
